Our background

Fred’s Racing was born from a simple idea, that racing should feel welcoming, purposeful, and rooted in community. Fred’s has always been about bringing people together, on rides, in cafés, on trails, and at races, and the racing team is the natural next step in bringing that spirit to life.

We didn’t set this up to chase results or build a super-team, we built it because there was a gap for something more human, more supportive, and more connected.

The team was created because so many riders want to race but don’t always know where to start. Some have the talent but no pathway. Others have the motivation but lack confidence or guidance. Fred’s Racing exists to bridge that gap, a place where ambition is welcomed, progression is supported, and the door stays wide open.

At its heart, this team is Fred’s - performance with purpose, racing with intention, and community in everything we do.

Why The Team Exists

Fred’s Racing exists because a group of riders wanted something more meaningful than pinning on a number alone. We wanted a team where people feel supported, welcomed, and part of something bigger than their own training plan.

The team is built for riders who care about progression, but also value enjoyment, connection, and community. A place where breakthroughs are celebrated, hard days are shared, and everyone shows up for each other on and off the bike.

At its core, Fred’s Racing is about real people and real journeys. Not manufactured narratives, genuine stories that unfold on the road, trail, and track every single week. That honesty is what makes the team powerful and what naturally attracts the right partners - brands who want their products used by committed, relatable athletes with real stories to tell.

For the riders, Fred’s Racing is a launchpad. Whether someone is chasing podiums or entering their first season, we provide the pathway, support, and culture to help them grow with purpose. Everyone starts from somewhere, our job is to give that “somewhere” the space, guidance, and community it deserves.

Fred’s Racing is about lifting each other up, building confidence, and creating a culture that feels ambitious, welcoming, and unmistakably Fred’s. That rider-first ethos is the heartbeat of everything we do.

What We Intend to Race

We want to race it all - and we want a team to do it with. Fred’s Racing is here for everyone, riders aiming at the top UK events, from the National Crit rounds to the biggest road races in the domestic calendar. But we’re equally here for the rider lining up for their very first race.

We believe racing should be varied, exciting, and open. So alongside road and crit racing, we’ll be on the trails, in the mud, at track meets, at TTs, and anywhere else that sharpens our craft and keeps the spark alive. From grassroots events to national-level competition, we want to show up with enthusiasm, curiosity, and intent.

Whether it’s a midweek crit, a grass-track revival, a winter CX race, or a national round - if it’s racing, we want Fred’s riders there. The goal is simple, to create opportunies, build confidence across disciplines, and give riders a team that makes the whole experience richer, more exciting, and far less intimidating.
