Performance Services
Applied performance services built around data, context, and real-world relevance.
What We Offer
Fred’s provides a suite of applied performance services designed to give athletes and teams clear, actionable insight. From in-field lactate testing and aerodynamic analysis to detailed performance profiling and participation in applied research, our work bridges physiology, data, and real-world performance. Each service is delivered with precision and context, helping you understand how you perform, where gains can be made, and how to apply the findings effectively. To discuss suitability, availability, or next steps, get in touch for further details.
-
Our lactate testing is carried out in the field, giving you accurate, real-world insight into how your body responds to effort. By identifying your Lactate turn points, LT1 and LT2, we define the intensity zones that matter most for endurance performance, helping you train smarter, pace efforts more effectively, and understand where true improvements are made. It’s a practical, repeatable way to build training around physiology, not guesswork.
-
Delivered in collaboration with Streamlines, our aero testing uses the CIRRUS system to measure aerodynamic drag in real riding conditions. This allows us to assess position, equipment, and setup with precision, identifying where free speed can be gained without compromising comfort or sustainability. The result is practical, data-led changes that make you faster for the same effort, on the road, not in a wind tunnel.
-
Performance profiling brings together your existing training and race data to build a complete picture of you as an athlete. We analyse power, durability, strengths, and limiters to understand where performance is coming from, and where it can be improved. Whether it’s used before starting a coaching programme or as a clear, professional profile to take into team environments or selection processes, it gives context, clarity, and direction to your performance.
-
This service offers the opportunity to take part in a postdoctoral research study, delivered in collaboration with Analytical Innovations. Using advanced biological analysis, the study aims to explore how athletes respond to training, load, and recovery at a deeper physiological level. Places are limited, and participation is offered to athletes interested in contributing to meaningful research while gaining insight beyond traditional performance metrics.
